About Us

Wimsure specialises in Professional Indemnity Insurance and Directors & Officers Insurance underwriting business as a Managing General Agent authorised and regulated under the Financial Conduct Authority. Wimsure underwrites a wide range of professional classes on behalf of Lloyd's of London and serves as a significant distributor into the UK regions.

Wimsure D&O is a separate line of business which launched in October 2021 underwriting on a worldwide license basis including US surplus lines. The security is Aquilano Insurance PCC Ltd.

Our History

The business was incorporated in early 2006 by Managing Director Mark Williams as an underwriting agency acting on behalf of company market. Competitive rates soon met market demand and the company began to exceed carrier expectations.

In early 2010 the company’s growing reputation to deliver, both to broker partners and insurers, saw Wimsure become a Lloyd's coverholder writing up to £5m capacity per risk across a wide range of Professional Classes. Wimsure now enjoy partnerships with over 60 introducing agents across the UK with that number set to rise alongside a business well and truly on the increase.
